Pet Safe Foods
There are many lawn care products on the market that are great for your
plants and grass, but are highly toxic to pets and wild life. Listed below are a
few products that you should be extremely careful with, especially while your
pets are in the yard and have access to them.

Chemicals that kill weeds, insects, or do a mixture of both
are things to look out for.

Formulations include organophosphates, carbamates, phenoxy and benzoic acid herbicides,
pyrethroids & organchlorines.

Many people believe that once these products are dry on the lawn, it is safe for pets to be released
back into this area. Depending on the product, it can be active from one month to one year.

If your pet ingests one of these harmful products, it is very helpful to take the
packaging from that product to your Veterinarian when you take your pet.
