Believe It or Not!!
Woof- My name is "Nikki" Hale and I am a 7 1/2 year old Bearded
Collie Mix. I'd like to take a few moments to tell you about myself.
About 7 years ago my mom (Glynda) had an English Sheep Dog that she
loved so much. But, the time had come for her to put her to sleep.
(Whatever that means.) She then waited 7 months to get a new
child-- I mean pet. She began looking online at different dogs and
found me on Petfinders.com. She completely fell in love (who
wouldn't), and had to have me. However, I was in a shelter in, North
Carolina, only a minor set back for my mom. She then hopped on a
plane, carrier in hand and rescued me. Happy ending, well Im not quite
done. When I was about 3, I was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain
Spotted Fever. Which I'm not real sure how I got it since there are
no spotted mountains in this area. I quickly recovered from that and
was back to being cute! In my spare time I enjoy playing with my best
friend, Callie (a cat). Now on to why you are reading about me. Well
about 2 weeks ago my mom brought me to North Creek for my annual
vaccinations and exam. Dr. Hellerich began her exam and was rubbing
my underside when... EUREKA!! She found it...my bladder full of stones
that is...What were you thinking? It had been so painful when I tried
to tee-tee. Dr. Hellerich took some x-rays and what she saw was
unbelievable, my bladder was FULL of stones, 164 to be exact. The
following Friday she did my surgery to remove them. What a relief
that was. They told my mom that all of those stones weighed 6 oz, can
you believe it? The biggest one was 2 1/2 cm. I feel soo much better.
I'd like to thank Dr. Hellerich and all the staff at North Creek. You
guys are great!
